The Medicare Benefit Schedule Fees and the AMA Fees are only recommendations and not obligatory. This practice charges above the AMA recommended fees for consultations and has done so only after careful consideration of the costs involved in running the practice. This means that in most instances there will be a ‘gap’ between our consultation fee and what is covered by Medicare. Full payment for your consultation is required on the day of service.

Full Pension Card Holders
If your account is being paid by a third party, we will require a letter from the third party stating that they will cover a particular service prior to your appointment or procedure. Without this we are unable to send the account to a third party and we will require you to settle your account on the day of your appointment.
A current referral is required for you to claim Medicare rebates. Please note a referral from a general practitioner is generally valid for 12 months but may be deemed ongoing if specified by your GP. A referral from a specialist is valid for only 3 months. It is your responsibility as the patient to provide an up to date referral letter to your treating specialist.
